Stacy L. Colich, RD, LD, CDE, is a Diabetes Care Education Specialist and Dietitian seeing patients in the Bigfork Valley Specialty Clinic via telehealth. Working at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, MN, Stacy provides Diabetes Self-Management Education Services (DSMES), Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), and Intensive Behavior Therapy for Obesity in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as via TeleHealth. Each year Stacy attends the National Diabetes Care & Education Conference sponsored by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). She finds it very rewarding and beneficial to keep up with ongoing continuing education to be able to provide patients with current quality education and care, addressing any physical, mental or financial considerations they may have. Stacy works closely with patients to develop an individualized care plan that helps promote healthy eating and lifestyle, as well as disease management. Professionally, Stacy has served in various roles including President of the Northern Diabetes Educator Group, helping to coordinate ongoing professional continuing education to its members. She has also been a representative for Northern MN, acting as a team player for The American Diabetes Association, coordinating fundraising events. In her spare time, Stacy enjoys spending time with family and friends at the cabin and taking part in outside and lake activities as much as possible. Stacy has 3 adult children, a grandson, and a few 4-legged furry friends they have rescued over the years. Stacy is accepting new patients via telehealth in the Bigfork Valley Specialty Clinic.
