Volunteering
Auxiliary
The Bigfork Valley Auxiliary has stood beside the hospital since both organizations were born in 1938, sustaining the hospital through fundraising, volunteering and being there when needed to help in a function or improve a patient’s stay.
Auxiliary volunteer examples:
- Organize pink lady volunteers at the front information desk
- Sell an auxiliary cookbook
- Hold a bake sale to raise money for Christmas presents for elders
- Host an annual Appreciation Tea for hospital employees
“The Auxiliary is a great way to serve. You meet so many new people and it’s rewarding to make such a difference.”
—Marcie Lindgren, President

Volunteers are appreciated in long term care! From assisting with activities such as bingo to signing up as a “buddy” to give an elder a lift with a card or conversation, there are many opportunities to make a difference in the lives of our residents. Volunteering opportunities can fit your schedule: You may come frequently or on occasion, and you may choose activities which fit the amount of time you can commit. Please call us to find out where our need is greatest or what opportunities are available.
